Layout for the new staff magazine »FORMAT« from Bayer MaterialScience.

Tasks

The new magazine should address the members of staff and enhance dialogue. The employees should recognise themselves in the stories – a team spirit should be established on an international level.

Concept & Implementation

The magazine title can vary in position depending on the cover image. The name is cut out from the white label and thus becomes part of the cover image.

The combination of fonts creates suspense and arranges long text passages: accentuating headlines, copytex with good legibility, and a corresponding serif typeface for contrasting highlights of dialogues and interviews.

Diversified design and a clear overall appearance: with thorough articles, preferably full page photographs, as well as airy spreads with lavish white space and corresponding illustrations.
