Implementation of a web portal for the association of corrugated cardboard industry (VDW) around the issue of »corrugated cardboard«.

Concept & Implementation

The portal was designed as an easy accessible online reference book about corrugated cardboard for a broad audience within the VDW member companies and beyond.

The comprehensive know-how about raw materials, the construction and the processing of corrugated cardboard was prepared in the form of online articles with complementing illustrations, keywords, and links, which are accessible in various ways:

On the menu item »Wissen« (Knowledge) the user can directly navigate to individual articles sorted by chapters and parts.

On the starting page a tag cloud provides alternative access to the content by chosing among the most commonly used keywords within the portal. Moreover, a top ten list of the most popular articles and a teaser with a randomly chosen article encourage to explore the world of corrugated cardboard.

Finally, one can prove his knowledge in »Testen« (Test) by answering 20 randomly chosen questions about corrugated cardboard in order to achieve a personalised expert certificate. The test can also be completed by working through an article before answering the adjacent question.
