Project Description

The screensaver for the scientific programmes of the public TV station WDR provides entertainment with various animations on the subject of atoms and elementary particles whenever the PC mouse takes a break.

Tasks

Realisation of various scenarios on the subject of elementary particles in collaboration with a scientific journalist of the WDR

• Stimulation of a helium atom
• Particle collision in a »bubble chamber«
• Atom models from 1803 until today

Concept & Implementation

The scenarios were interpreted and realised with emotionally appealing and varied animations. For this we deliberately did not give any detailed explanation of the respective contexts – the screensaver is supposed to arouse curiosity in an entertaining way.
