Redesign for GRIN – the leading academic knowledge network in Germany. With more than 100,000 published textbooks and e-books GRIN Publishing ranks among the leading providers for user generated academic content in Germany.
Development of a new visual identity on the basis of a preceding strategic repositioning of the publisher by Sternsdorf Lakowski & Partner.
The new corporate design focuses on the positioning of the publisher as the leading academic knowledge network for academic content provided by students, authors, professors and universities. For this reason the research, dialogue and publication features were emphasized within the web portal as well as cross-linking with various social networks was incorporated.
Besides the improvement of usability the GRIN logo and general visual appearance were redefined with respect to sympathy and "zeitgeist": fresh green and silver colouring combined with handmade illustrations – and the all connecting GRIN band – accompany the user in the different modules within the GRIN portal.
